Earlier this year saw the highly successful FYA Music Fest take place at the Marcus Garvey Ballroom, Lenton. Following this event, the Fearless Youth Association will be holding a summer edition, FMB Radio reports.
The Fearless Youth Association (FYA), founded 2016, is an organisation which aims to provide young people with training and skills development; providing those not in education or employment a feeling of belonging and togetherness. FMB Radio itself was partially founded by the FYA, it is where our ‘F’ in ‘FMB’ originates from.
To provide the local community with a free night of entertainment, the FYA Music Fest promises to hold a dance-filled night with exceptionally talented local artists. Their aim is to bring anyone from any background together, as well as showcase underrepresented Nottingham talent.
The event will be held at the Marcus Garvey Ballroom, on the 18th of August 2023 (Friday), and entry is registered but completely free, with music on-going from 10pm until 2am. In addition to the music, there will also be a bar available so drinks can be purchased.
Reservations of tickets is highly encouraged, as there is only limited availability due to the building’s capacity. You can reserve a place by clicking on this link.
A talented array of fourteen Nottingham artists are already slated to perform:
- Chai Larden
- Benjamin Hibbert
- Jay Cee
- Lowri Ffion
- DJ HAZE
- Mellonie Page
- Rae Remell
- DJ Mxndy
- Ashly Song
Stay tuned to hear FMB Radio’s review of this event once it has passed. Remember: grab your tickets in time for the 18th of August!
