Nottingham Windrush Project Needs Your Story!

The Nottingham-based magazine LeftLion and Nottingham’s New Art Exchange are working on a project to explore the stories of those who were part of the Windrush generation, with an opportunity to share your voice.

Did you, or members of your family, arrive in the UK from a Caribbean country between 1948 and 1973?

LeftLion and New Art Exchange (NAE) are working together on a project to document and publish the stories of people from Nottingham who were part of the Windrush generation.

They are planning to create a series of video interviews and publish a series of written interviews in LeftLion magazine.

Entries will be picked by the 25th August 2023 and invited to NAE mid-September to record a short interview and feature in the project. There will be a showcase of all interviews at the end of October in which the people of the local community will be invited to.

If you are interested in sharing your authentic voice with LeftLion and NAE, then fill in the contact form here.
