A staple of any Nottingham summer, the beloved Nottingham Beach is set to open next week, providing families and friends a great destination to get their sunshine fix! FMB Radio’s Ben Mellor goes into the details.
Nottingham Beach will open very soon on Tuesday 25 July, bringing that seaside flair inland to the heart of the Midlands. The opening date is set to coincide with the school summer holidays, providing parents the perfect day out for the kids.
There is something for everyone however, as entry to the beach itself and paddling area is set to be completely free! But if you bring along some extra pennies, then the other rides and attractions on offer include bungee trampolines, hook a duck, penny pushers, food stalls, and a beach bar!
The beach will also feature the ‘Giant Slip ‘n Slide’, the largest inflatable urban waterslide in the UK at 55m long. Additionally, there is ‘Little John’, a huge waterpark with six lanes of slides.
Entry to the Giant Slip ‘n Slide will be cheaper for residents of Nottingham City, at £10.50 per person. Non-city residents will pay £12.50 per person instead. (This is for an hour’s slot!).
Booking is recommended in advance to avoid disappointment on the day, the link of which can be found here.
FMB Radio will be sure to keep you updated, after we have a slide ourselves!
