Job Description

Litigation Paralegal

A growing legal team is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with a minimum of five years of hands-on litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have substantial involvement in trial preparation and trial support, and must be able to travel within Florida for trial attendance as needed. This role works closely with attorneys throughout all stages of the litigation process and requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist attorneys throughout the litigation lifecycle, from initial discovery through trial.
• Review, organize, and summarize large volumes of documents, including production sets, medical records, and evidence files.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive witness files, including coordinating interviews and drafting summaries.
• Support work with expert witnesses by gathering materials, coordinating communications, and preparing document sets.
• Assist in trial preparation, including assembling trial notebooks, preparing exhibits, managing deadlines, and coordinating logistics.
• Attend trials as needed, providing on-site support to attorneys and ensuring smooth execution of trial strategy.
• Draft and prepare legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence under attorney supervision.
• Ensure compliance with Florida state and federal court rules, including e-filing requirements through the CM/ECF system.
• Maintain case calendars, track deadlines, and manage case-related tasks to ensure timely completion of all obligations.

Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of litigation experience, including direct involvement in trial preparation.
• Strong familiarity with Florida federal and state court procedures.
• Experience filing documents using CM/ECF and state e-filing portals.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and staff, while also managing tasks independently.
• Willingness to travel within Florida for trial support as needed.
