Overview
As a Steward at Spice Catering Co., you’ll play a vital role in keeping our kitchen and workspaces clean, organized, and efficient. You’ll support the culinary team by washing dishes, maintaining sanitation standards, and helping with basic prep tasks—all to ensure an exceptional guest experience. This behind-the-scenes role is essential to our mission of creating thoughtful hospitality experiences through from-scratch cooking and sustainable practices.
Key Responsibilities
Wash, sanitize, and organize all dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
Maintain a clean and orderly dish area and ensure the dish machine is operating correctly.
Follow daily and weekly cleaning checklists and complete tasks thoroughly.
Sweep, mop, and assist in keeping kitchen and storage areas clean and organized.
Assist chefs with basic food prep as needed.
Communicate clearly with teammates and check out with a manager before leaving each shift.
Essential Skills
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Dependability and punctuality.
Physical stamina: ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Team-oriented mindset and willingness to assist wherever needed.
Bonus Skills
Previous experience in a kitchen or dishwashing role.
Familiarity with commercial dish machines.
Basic food prep or knife skills.
