Deck Hand: Candidate needs to be comfortable working on the river in all weather conditions (Rain/sleet/snow/cold/hot). Good balance and sturdy footing is needed for a safe work day. Needs to have knowledge of equipment and perform duties assigned by pilots. Must know how to lay lines and build tow for barge transport. Must be able to follow instruction for tasks given and retain the information when the same tasks are needed in the future. Needs to be self-motivated and stay busy.
