Currently seeking an undergraduate or graduate degree in planning or a related field.
GIS experience helpful but not required
Microsoft Software (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
InDesign and Adobe experience helpful but not required
Research experience
Written and oral communication skills
Ability to review plans and studies and summarize findings
Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously
Ability to work independently or in a team environment as needed
Knowledge of effective writing
Provide technical assistance and information to staff and the public in the administration of specific planning-related programs and ordinances
Perform routine office tasks in designated program areas, including data entry, file management, copying,answering telephone, and responding to e-mails.
Research and compile information on a variety of planning issues from multiple sources
Public engagement activities and outreach support
Prepare maps, charts, tables, and graphics
Prepare research memos and draft project deliverables
Attend public meetings, assisting other planning staff as appropriate
Field Inspection for ADA curb ramps and sidewalks
GIS mapping and analysis (depending on skill level)
