Job Description

Family owned HVAC & plumbing service business in the New Orleans metro area, is seeking a  Residential Service Plumber to join their team. This is a brand new role, looking to fill it immediately. The right person will specialize in diagnostic work in residential settings (rather than heavy installation), enjoy working directly with homeowners, and be comfortable servicing gas, drains and tankless water heaters. A company vehicle is provided.

What You'll Do as the Residential Service Plumber:

• Perform full diagnostics on residential plumbing issues including gas systems, drains, tankless water heaters, and other specialized service calls
• Conduct gas startup inspections as required
• Engage with the homeowner to explain findings, propose solutions and carry out the repair/service work
• Work primarily in diagnostic / service mode rather than large scale install jobs
• Represent the company in a friendly, professional and respectful way in homeowner homes
• Collaborate with the plumbing department manager and leadership to maintain high service quality standards

Must Haves as the Residential Service Plumber:

• Proven experience servicing residential plumbing systems with strong diagnostic skills (gas, drains, tankless water heaters)
• Comfortable working independently in homeowner environments and explaining technical issues in plain language
• Ability to perform gas startup inspections and follow applicable safety/inspection protocols
• Excellent people skills: comfortable communicating with homeowners, building trust, explaining options
• Valid plumbing trade credentials / license (as required in Louisiana) and a clean service record

Nice to Haves as the Residential Service Plumber:

• Previous experience in a service only role (rather than purely installation)
• Previous work with tankless water heaters or high efficiency equipment
• Experience in the New Orleans or Gulf South service region (familiarity with local homes, materials, climate)
