Job Description – Quality Manager

Job Classification: Salary Exempt, Full time.

Supervisor: Kyla Couch

Job Responsibility Summary: The Quality Manager will support the organization’s production operations, from raw materials to finished products, meet the quality, integrity, and efficiency standards set by the organization and meet customers’ requirements. 

Position Requirements:

· Ability to build relationships with customers.

· Ability to stay organized and manage time efficiently.

· Ability to understand and utilize basic mathematical skills.

· Must understand and utilize telephone and email etiquette.

· Steel experience strongly preferred.

Job Duties Include, but not limited to:

· Evaluates production operations from a strategic level to ensure that products meet quality, integrity, functionality, and other specifications and requirements. This includes monitoring production processes, conducting quality inspections, and ensuring that all products meet customer specifications.

· Developing and implementing quality standards for all aspects of the operations. This includes everything from production processes to customer service and shipping.

· Creating and implementing quality assurance procedures that ensure that all products meet customer expectations. This may involve creating an inspection checklist, developing testing procedures, and working with other departments to ensure that products are manufactured to the highest standards.

· 5S Lean projects

· Monitoring and driving LPA performance.

· Facilitates communication among production divisions and management.

· Maintaining, monitoring, and holding Managers meetings.

· Lead in All internal audit programs.

· Monitoring and analyzing quality data to identify areas where improvements can be made. This includes tracking quality metrics, conducting root cause analyses of quality issues, and developing action plans to address any problems.

· Managing the quality control personnel. This includes hiring and training new employees. Conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring that all employees are properly trained in quality control procedures.

· Liaising with customer to ensure that their quality requirements are met. This may involve working with customers to develop quality specifications, providing quality reports, and addressing any quality concerns that arise.

· Periodically reports status of quality control and operations to executive leadership and, when required, regulatory agencies.

· Quality Dispositions

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

· Spec Approvals

· Collect data to report to the Manager for analysis.

· Meeting with ownership to discuss claims.

· Plant support

· Escalate issues to upper management.

· Monitor the claims department making sure they contain material when rejected and communicating the reject to the problem owners / department.

· Work on keeping the hold list down.

· Assist in Quality meetings for the plant and office once a month.

· Investigate Customer / Vendor claims and visit customer as needed.

· Corrective Actions

· Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement.

· Help create work instruction, files, processes.

· Any task given by the Director of Quality

· Ensure Die files are updated. Help follow new / removed dies from our facility.

· Monitor Die Maintenance.
