Our client, a leading innovator in the functional mushroom supplement and ingredient industry, is seeking an experienced Product Manager. This innovative company specializes in developing high-quality, science-backed mushroom products for health, wellness, and food industry partners. They are committed to sustainability, product efficacy, and advancing the future of natural health solutions.

**This is an in person role in San Jose, CA

Responsibilities

• Lead new product development for mushroom supplements and ingredients, including concept ideation, market research, and competitive analysis.
• Collaborate with R&D, quality assurance, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure products are innovative, effective, and compliant with industry standards.
• Translate market trends and customer insights into actionable product strategies and roadmaps.
• Oversee formulation, testing, and scale-up of new products, ensuring scientific rigor and regulatory compliance.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure ingredient quality, traceability, and sustainability.
• Develop go-to-market strategies, working closely with marketing and sales teams to position and launch products effectively.
• Monitor product performance, gather customer feedback, and drive continuous improvement.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, scientific research, and regulatory developments in functional mushrooms and dietary supplements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Biology, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in product management, preferably in supplements, nutraceuticals, or food ingredients.
• Strong understanding of functional mushrooms, dietary supplements, and ingredient sourcing.
• Proven track record of launching successful consumer health or wellness products.
• Excellent project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for dietary supplements (FDA, cGMP, etc.) and food safety standards.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Compensation: $130,000-$150,000 plus full benefits
