Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various medical disciplines, including acute care, emergency medicine, and primary care. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, performing diagnostic evaluations, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status.
  • Administer medications and perform procedures such as suturing, airway management, and IV infusion.
  • Manage acute pain and provide treatment for conditions related to infectious diseases, geriatrics, and pediatrics.
  • Utilize EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient records.
  • Participate in clinical research and data collection to enhance patient care practices.
  • Provide triage services in emergency settings and assist in critical care environments including ICU and Level I/II trauma centers.
  • Engage in telehealth consultations to expand access to care for patients.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning and post-acute care management.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experiences:

  • Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, CPT coding, and documentation practices.
  • Experience in hospital settings with a focus on inpatient care, outpatient services, or urgent care environments.
  • Familiarity with various medical procedures including cardiac catheterization, dialysis, phlebotomy, tube feeding, and gastric lavage.
  • Background in specialties such as hospice & palliative medicine, occupational health, or family planning is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols is essential.
  • Previous experience with clinical trials or research initiatives is a plus.

Pay: $115,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
