Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton IL is looking for a part-time Laundry Assistant!

Summary:

Responsible for the processing and preparation of linen for distribution to the various departments and all residents.

Essential Job Duties:

• Transport laundry to the laundry area
• Sort laundry before it is washed using proper technique
• Help load and unload washers and dryers as directed
• Sort clean laundry after it is washed
• Hand fold linens and sort personal clothing per unit
• Deliver clean linens and personals to clean linen closets and resident rooms respectively
• Provide linen requirements to all areas seven days a week
• Inform Maintenance of potential equipment malfunction
• Use chemicals as directed
• Use proper techniques while handling isolation linen
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• This is a part-time position for 2-4 shifts per week for a total of 8-16 hours per week.
• Weekday shifts are 3pm-7pm or 4pm or 8pm depending on the candidates availability when hired.
• Candidates must be available to work some weekends as well asa holiday rotation.

Physical Demands:

Walking and standing most of the day is required. Frequent stooping stretching bending climbing and reaching. Lifting/Pushing/Pulling up to 25lbs. Some exposure to potentially hazardous equipment chemicals and infectious waste.
