The Oracle Database Administrator is responsible for providing tier-3 support, configuration, and troubleshooting for Oracle Database environments, including single-instance and clustered/RAC deployments. This role involves managing and supporting Oracle database solutions, responding to RFCs and incident tickets, and leading or collaborating on database builds, upgrades, and application integration efforts. The administrator will also proactively address system errors, perform patching and updates, and deliver clear, actionable reports to leadership.

Responsibilities:
- Provide tier-3 troubleshooting, configuration, and routine/urgent support for Oracle Database environments.
- Manage and support Oracle database solutions, including Data Guard, backup/recovery, schema management, patching, upgrades, and integration.
- Support cross-platform database interoperability (MS SQL, MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MS Access).
- Respond to mission-driven Requests for Change (RFCs) and incident tickets to minimize downtime and enhance service delivery.
- Lead or collaborate on Oracle database builds, upgrades, and application-integration efforts.
- Proactively address system errors, perform patching and updates.
- Deliver clear, actionable weekly reports to inform leadership and business units.
- Serve as a technical advisor to cross-functional teams, explaining complex concepts to both IT and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- At least 8 years' experience administering enterprise Oracle database environments (including Oracle 12c, 19c, Autonomous DB, Data Guard, RAC).
- Demonstrated track record of independent technical troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance optimization.
- History of designing, implementing, and managing standalone and/or clustered Oracle databases.
- Experience working collaboratively in high-stakes, mission-oriented settings with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
