The Maintenance Technician performs preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, reactive maintenance, minor and major repairs, and modifications to facility equipment, including seating, painting and carpentry projects at the facility to ensure continued proper and safe operation of the arena. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintains all facility items including but not limited to: seats, steps, handrails, soap and towel dispensers, pictures, TV mounts, cabinets, and doors. Performs repairs to restrooms, concessions and other facility needs. Monitors a complete inventory of required repair parts and stocks items to complete duties. Notifies supervisor of parts availability or needs. Operates facility equipment and heavy machinery for event set-up or changeovers as required. Completes preventative, reactive and predictive maintenance schedules and maintains records of work performed in order to minimize down time and reduce operational expenses. Performs facility projects such as installing/removing parking bollards, installing or replacing signage or pictures in and around facility. Utilizes Computer based Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking and scheduling equipment and facility maintenances and repairs. Assists with work performed by outside contractors, inspects and verifies the work upon completion. Assists other trade personnel in making various facility repairs. Performs maintenance and troubleshooting on facility equipment. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS: HS Diploma or GED required Must have 3 years experience in maintenance repair and troubleshooting Basic computer skills required Problem-solving ability Bilingual a plus, but not required The qualified individual personifies our core values of INTEGRITY, TEAMWORK, PASSION, and EXCELLENCE at all times. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Ability to reach with hands and arms use hands to handle, or feel, stand, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, bend, walk and sit; Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds while twisting and/or turning working at heights and frequent climbing of stairs and ladders; Requires extensive mobility to stand and walk throughout facility and adjacent garages Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Able to work at heights above 50 feet and in confined spaces. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, during events the noise level may be loud.
