St. Matthew Parish is looking for a dynamic Liturgy & Music Director to join our community. The director coordinates the liturgy with the pastor and plays the parish’s two weekend liturgies, school masses, and other liturgical events, e.g. funerals. Piano skills and the ability to play a variety of musical styles are required. Must have the ability to operate technology (audio-visual equipment, live-streaming, scheduling applications, etc.), to prepare worship materials, and to develop and train liturgical ministers. The Director will have general liturgical ministerial oversight, which also includes the ability to
- collaborate with pastor, principal, religious formation, students, and staff
- coordinate with pastor to develop liturgical plans
- develop cantors and accompany adult choir
- assist with school liturgies
- schedule additional and/or substitute musicians
- train liturgical ministers
- operate and coordinate technology (AV equipment, live-streaming, scheduling, etc.)
