Inventory Control Specialist

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to support the efficient management of our inventory systems and warehouse operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining optimal stock levels and ensuring accurate tracking of materials across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as needed within authorized limits.
- Establish and maintain backup sources for high-demand materials.
- Analyze inventory usage reports to recommend recurring automated orders.
- Generate timely inventory reports for internal stakeholders.
- Foster and manage strong vendor relationships.
- Accurately document goods received, and shipments dispatched.
- Maintain and enhance inventory software/database systems.
- Perform regular spot checks and partial inventory audits.
- Assist in company-wide annual physical inventory audits.
- Support additional inventory-related functions as required.
Requirements
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong communication skills across internal teams and external vendors.
- Working knowledge of inventory control principles and practices.
- Proficiency with computerized inventory systems and keyboarding.
- High attention to detail and self-motivated work ethic.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations reliably.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in computerized inventory management systems is essential.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit at a computer workstation for extended periods.
- Capability to lift to 40 lbs as needed.
- Must be physically able to navigate the warehouse and access inventory at various heights.
