Job Description We are seeking an Interior Designer to support and manage 1–3 projects simultaneously under the direction of the Principal and Senior Interior Designer. This role requires a technically strong, highly organized designer who is comfortable working across all phases of a project—from design development through execution and installation.
Responsibilities - Support and manage projects through all phases of the interior design process under senior supervision
- Source, specify, document, and purchase high-end vintage and contemporary FF&E, including preparation of schedules, coordination of - - lead times, and order tracking
- Develop and coordinate specifications for bespoke millwork, furniture, materials, soft furnishings, and lighting, with a clear understanding of fabrication details
- Coordinate with consultants, fabricators, vendors, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle
- Act as a client and contractor liaison, including leading site visits, responding to field conditions, and monitoring installations
- Track tasks, schedules, and deliverables using Trello and studio management systems
- Support design development through hand sketch, 3D modeling and physical model making
- Produce high-quality AutoCAD drawings and comprehensive construction documentation
- Prepare presentations, schedules, and documentation using Adobe Creative Suite, with strong proficiency in Photoshop and InDesign
- Maintain exceptional organization across drawings, specifications, samples, schedules, and project files
- Work autonomously while collaborating closely with the design team to meet deadlines and uphold studio standards
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design
- 3–4 years of professional interior design experience in luxury residential and/or hospitality
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Rhino or SketchUp required
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with Trello or similar task-based project management tools
- Experience using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
- Demonstrated experience sourcing, specifying, documenting, and purchasing high-end FF&E
- Solid understanding of fabrication processes for furniture, millwork, soft goods, and custom lighting, including coordination with fabricators and review of shop drawings or mockups
- Experience conducting site visits and overseeing installations
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently under senior direction
- Strong communication skills and comfort representing the studio with clients, consultants, and contractors
- Strong knowledge of design styles and design history
- Familiarity with Programa or similar design/project management software preferred
