Job Description

The Hilton Seattle Airport and Conference Center are looking for a Houseperson to join the Housekeeping Team.

The hotel is located across the street from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The 396 rooms property is a walking distance to the airport terminal via the sky bridge opposite the hotel.

The ideal candidate should :

• Have at least 6 months of experience in hotel housekeeping.
• Be able to work a full shift (8 hours) walking/standing.
• Have the ability to bend, stoop, walk and lift up to 25 - 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 400 lbs.
• Can work a flexible schedule that includes mornings, nights weekends and holidays.
• Have the ability to effective communication with English language-speaking guests/team members.

Shift Pattern: Full-Time - Full availability is required, must be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Hourly Pay Rate :  $22.94 upon hire, with an increase to $25.49 after completing 90 days

  What will I be doing?

As a Houseperson, you would be responsible for cleaning and maintaining designated areas of the hotel and responding to guest requests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Clean designated areas including, but not limited to, restrooms, public areas, offices and banquet/meeting/conference rooms.
• Perform tasks including, but not limited to, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, cleaning/waxing floors, removing and disposing of trash and emptying ashtrays.
• Greet guests in a friendly manner.
• Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms, as needed.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects (for example: mattress flipping, furniture moves, etc.), as needed.
• Deliver guest requests and assist in cleaning guest rooms, as needed.
