**Overview** The Document Scanning Operator is responsible for converting physical documents into digital formats using high-speed scanning equipment and associated software. This role ensures accurate image capture, proper indexing, and secure handling of sensitive information in compliance with organizational, customer, and regulatory requirements. This position is located at the Subtropolis facility in Kansas City, MO and requires full-time, on-site attendance. **Responsibilities** + Operate document scanning equipment to digitize paper records in a fast-paced environment. + Prepare documents for scanning. + Verify image quality to ensure proper resolution and clarity. + Maintain confidentiality and security of all documents handled. + Troubleshoot scanning equipment and escalate technical issues as needed. + Perform routine maintenance on scanning devices (e.g., cleaning, calibration). + Maintain a clean and organized work area. + Track and report daily production metrics. + Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality. + Follow all safety and compliance guidelines, company policies and OSHA standards. **Work Environment** + Production setting with extended periods of standing and repetitive hand movements. + Moderate noise level due to scanner operation, printers, and warehouse equipment. + Frequent lifting and carrying of boxes of documents. **Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent. + 0-2 years of experience. + Basic computer skills and familiarity with document management systems; experience with IBML scanners is a plus. + Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under deadlines. + Ability to lift and move boxes of documents (up to 45 lbs). + Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance. **Company Overview** GovCIO is a team of transformers--people who are passionate about transforming government IT.
