Here at Samaritan Hospital, an affiliate of St. Peter's Health Partners, we care for more people in more places than one. **Position Highlights:** + Quality of Life: Where career opportunities and quality of life converge + Advancement: Strong orientation program, generous tuition allowance and career development **What you will do:** The Supervisor - Crisis Center is responsible for oversight of all aspects of the Sexual Assault and Crime Victims Assistance Program 24-hour crisis services, including: management of the program's crime victim crisis hotline, coordination and oversight of the volunteers and staff working on the hotline, training of staff to ensure compliance with NYS Department of Health Sexual Assault Counselor certification, and more. This position will also provide direct services to victims/survivors of crime. Work involves management of multiple priorities, triaging of sensitive client issues, coordination among multiple service lines, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a high level of confidentiality. Reports to the Manager, Crisis Services. **Responsibilities:** + Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the operations of 24-hour services offered by the program via the programs 24-hour hotline. + Develops and maintains coverage schedules for the 24-hour hotline services using current applications. + Serves as the point person to troubleshoot and resolve hotline issues when they arise. + Acts as the identified leader to help staff on 24/7 hotline navigate challenging clients situations. + Works with other departments, particularly the Hospital Forensic Examiner team, to develop and implement protocol related to 24-hour response. + Works with full-time Case Workers to manage response to clients via hotline. + Responsible for coverage of 24-hour hotline when staff and/or volunteers call in sick or are on vacation. + Provides direct supervision of the volunteer counselors and per diem Case Worker staff working on the 24/hour hotline. + Recruits, interviews, and hires volunteer counselors and per diem Case Worker staff working on the 24-hour hotline. + Plans monthly in-service meeting for volunteers and per diem staff. + Responsible for annual reviews of volunteers and per diem staff, and when necessary terminating volunteers/per diem staff. + Maintains NYS DOH Sexual Assault Counselor Certification lists for department. + Assists with completing monthly statistical reports related to volunteer services, including but not limited to: monthly service statistics, continuing education hours, volunteer hours forms, etc. + Organizes training classes at least three times per year. + Develops the schedule for training and coordinates with other departments to provide instructors as needed. **What you will need:** + A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling/Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field is required + Masters Degree is preferred + Previous experience working with victims of crime for a minimum of two years is required; five years preferred. + Supervisory experience is preferred + Must have reliable transportation to meet with clients at other locations, to attend any required meetings, and to provide education/outreach programs. + Sexual Assault Counselor certification by the New York State Department of Health is required for this position to provide crisis intervention, victim advocacy, and counseling services. **Pay Range:** $26.75 - $41.46 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
