Job Description

We’re seeking a dependable and hardworking Cemetery Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Marietta, GA 30060 . This is a temporary position with potential to become permanent , offering a pay rate of $17.00 per hour . In this role, you’ll assist with all aspects of cemetery maintenance and burial operations, including preparing gravesites, installing markers, maintaining the grounds, and supporting families with care and respect. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable performing physical outdoor work year-round.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in openings and closings for burials, entombments, inurnments, and disinterments.
• Install and assemble foundations, memorials, markers, and outer burial containers.
• Handle and complete service requests and work orders related to grave and marker maintenance.
• Perform Interment Verification Procedures and maintain a clean 25-foot radius around each gravesite.
• Fill graves , tamp soil, and seed or lay sod as required.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all work areas.
• Follow company safety protocols and Universal Precautions at all times.
• Complete required training through Dignity University and uphold the Dignity Memorial Promise.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or general maintenance preferred.
• Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and respect for families and cemetery operations.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required.
• Looking for someone who can work on a full-time daytime schedule .
