Position Title: JADOCS (Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System) Specialist

Location: Camp Pendleton, CA

Position Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000

Security Clearance Requirement: Secret

Certification Requirements:

Roles and Responsibilities:

Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System specialist is responsible for operating and maintaining JADOCS software. This system is crucial for coordinating and supporting artillery, rockets, and other fire support assets during combat operations. The JADOCS specialist ensures the system is functional and reliable, enabling the timely exchange of fire support information and efficient target processing. SME will support Tactical C5ISR systems in CONUS and OCONUS regions supporting units in combat operations and/or advise and assist with missions.

Will work cross-functionally with several departments and those who are performing work at Government Customers’ sites.  Position will be required to travel at the Government Customer’s request.  Travel is expected up to 25%. 

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation of JADOCS, including generating, receiving, and processing fire missions, as well as managing software configuration and maintenance.
  • Integrating and coordinating fire support assets, ensuring that artillery, rockets, mortars, and naval surface fire support are used effectively during combat operations.
  • Exchanging fire support information and target data with other systems and simulation tools, as well as transmitting Variable Message Format (VMF) messages.
  • Configure and connect various components, such as shipboard and tactical radios, Joint Tactical Common Operational Picture (COP) workstations, and Tactical COP Servers, to ensure seamless data exchange.
  • Research questions using available information resources: technical manuals, operating and administrator guides, fleet advisory messages (FAMs), and internal approved knowledge base(s).
  • Identify and elevate situations requiring urgent attention.

Education/Competencies:

  • Certification listed above accepted in lieu of higher education: And
  • Experience equal to degree level

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiar with USMC tactical fire systems to include AFATDS and THSv2

  • Familiar with laser range finders, designators, and full-motion video receivers.

  • Familiar with Marine Corps targeting and fire support policies and procedures.

  • Familiar with Marine Corp radios and networks.

  • Strong active listening, data entry, and documentation skills.

  • Experience working with customer, addressing issues, and managing customer concerns and requests over the phone and/or in-person.

  • Experience writing technical solutions and commercial knowledgebase articles.

  • Intermediate analytical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and consistent resolution of IT problems.

  • Adaptable to fluid environments

Requirements

  • TRAVEL REQUIRED FOR POSITION  - Must be able to obtain or possess a valid US Passport and by physically qualified to support miliary exercises and contingency operations.
  • Experience supporting Marine Corps C4I systems and equipment.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in military training and education.
  • Direct participation in real-world operations is desired.
  • Willing to work in a 24x7x365 secured environment, demonstrate intuitive problem-solving skills, and allow for flexible scheduling.
