Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Box Truck Driver to transport goods to and from designated locations in a timely and professional manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and the ability to load, secure, and unload cargo while following all traffic and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck to deliver and pick up goods according to assigned routes
- Load, secure, and unload cargo to prevent damage during transit
- Inspect the vehicle before and after trips and report any mechanical issues
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and paperwork
- Follow all company policies, traffic laws, and safety regulations
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and warehouse staff
- Ensure timely deliveries while maintaining a high level of customer service
- Keep the vehicle clean and in good working condition
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid driver's license (CDL not required unless specified)
- Clean driving record
- Previous box truck or delivery driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (typically up to 50 75 lbs)
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Driving for extended periods of time
- Frequent lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading of materials
- Exposure to varying weather conditions
