Root's Nurseries LLC has been a cornerstone in the Lancaster community since 1895, specializing in residential and commercial landscaping, as well as retail and wholesale tree sales. With 100 acres planted in shade, flowering, and evergreen trees, we are committed to integrity, quality, and customer care as we continue growing our landscaping and nursery services legacy.

What You'll Do as an Assistant Landscape Center Manager:

  • Assist the Landscape Center Manager in overseeing daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and inventory management, and by coordinating with suppliers to maintain stock levels, ensuring product quality.
  • Help customers in selecting trees and shrubs suited to their landscape goals.
  • Provide personalized service and education to homeowners on plant care and maintenance.
  • Maintain plant health through routine care, irrigation management, and pest control.
  • Operate nursery equipment and assist with deliveries, pickups, and logistics.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized nursery environment.
  • Work full-time Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m., with occasional required travel within a 50-mile radius.

 

Our Ideal Assistant Landscape Center Nursery Manager:

  • Experienced: 2+ years of green industry knowledge, nursery operations, or landscape supply. Experience operating nursery equipment is preferred, and a CDL A or B license is a plus.
  • Organized and customer-focused: Manages scheduling and inventory with attention to detail while delivering excellent service to contractors and homeowners.
  • Active: Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, lifting to 80 lbs., and performing the physical aspects of nursery operations.
  • Tech-savvy: Knows or can learn QuickBooks and POS systems.
